Client Responsibilities

As our client, you agree to:

  • Provide complete, accurate, and timely information and documentation
  • Respond promptly to requests for information or clarification
  • Pay fees and expenses as agreed upon in our engagement letter
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information shared during our engagement
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Review and approve all work product before submission or filing
  • Notify us immediately of any changes that may affect our services

Professional Standards

Our services are performed in accordance with:

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Standards for Tax Services issued by the AICPA
  • Professional ethics and independence requirements
  • Applicable federal, state, and local regulations

We maintain professional liability insurance and adhere to continuing education requirements.

Fees and Payment

Fee Structure

Our fees are based on:

  • Time and complexity of services provided
  • Level of expertise required
  • Agreed-upon fixed fees for specific services
  • Out-of-pocket expenses incurred on your behalf

Payment Terms

  • Invoices are due within 30 days of receipt
  • Late payments may incur interest charges
  • We reserve the right to suspend services for overdue accounts
  • Payment methods include check, ACH transfer, and credit card

Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality of all client information in accordance with:

  • Professional ethics and confidentiality requirements

Limitation of Liability

Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

  • Changes in laws or regulations after service completion

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.

Termination

Either party may terminate our engagement:

  • With 30 days written notice
  • Immediately for material breach of these terms
  • Immediately for non-payment of fees

Upon termination:

  • All outstanding fees become immediately due
  • We will return client records upon request
  • Confidentiality obligations continue indefinitely
  • We may retain copies of records as required by law

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through:

  1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
  2. Mediation with a mutually agreed mediator
  3. Binding arbitration if mediation is unsuccessful
